Craftsman Massage Table

Similar to the Athena Massage Table the Custom Craftworks PreNatal Massage Table’s innovative new design makes it possible for expectant women to lie prone and still enjoy a relaxing massage. Specially contoured depressions in the surface of the table afford the utmost comfort to women at any stage of pregnancy.

In addition to their other clients massage therapists will be able to attract and keep mothers-to-be in their practice practically until the time of their deliveries.

Padded breast recesses and an adjustable padded sling envelope support the abdomen through all stages of pregnancy. No other Massage Table offers these exclusive features. The torso section is supported by 0.375 inch of high-density wood for added strength and security. With a dynamic load of 650 pounds, adjustable heights, 3 inch triple wrap foam and a wooden frame the Custom Craftworks PreNatal Massage Table will ensure a busy practice.

Understanding Your Massage Table Options

Which upholstery should I choose?
The PreNatal offers you the choice between Levante Vinyl, DuraTouch and UltraLeather. Levante Vinyl, the standard option is relatively supple, durable and is easy to clean. You have the choice to upgrade your upholstery to DuraTouch or UltraLeather both soft polyurethane fabrics with a luxurious feel. DuraTouch is highly recommended by Custom Craftworks as it is a durable environmentally friendly material that won’t stiffen or crack. DuraTouch is a popular choice for heavy use in spas but is not a crucial choice for normal use by massage therapists. UltraLeather is the softest upholstery but doesn’t hold sheets very well and tends to sag and stretch over time. Keep in mind that using sheets during treatments helps to maintain any upholstery you choose on your table.

What table top width and length should I choose?
When choosing a width and length for your Massage Table you should keep two things in mind - client comfort and portability. Although most people are fine lying on the standard width table larger clients may be more comfortable on a wider table. The same is true for taller clients who may be better supported on a longer table. Also if you plan on carrying the Massage Table around from appointment to appointment a narrower, shorter table is going to be lighter in weight and less bulky making it much more portable.

How do I choose a height range?
Depending on how tall you are and what types of massage you perform, being able to customize the height range of your Massage Table is a valuable feature. Most professionals know exactly what height range they prefer working in. The best way to determine the table height to stand up straight, with your arms to your sides, palms facing the ground. Measure from the floor to your palms. That is the table size that is best for you.
